ISDP Somalia

Geographical Coverage

ISDP operates across the Bari, Sanaag, Nugaal, Karkaar, and Mudug regions within the Puntland State of Somalia. With a strong implementation track record, ISDP delivers high-quality Health and Nutrition, Food Security, Livelihoods, Protection, and WASH interventions in both humanitarian and development contexts.

We work closely with government institutions, community structures, civil society organizations, UN agencies, and development partners to promote equitable access to essential services and strengthen local systems. Our programming is community-centered and inclusive, ensuring that interventions respond to local priorities and build sustainable resilience.

ISDP’s support primarily targets vulnerable and marginalized groups, including:

  • Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)
  • Refugees and Returnees
  • Drought-affected and food-insecure households
  • Women and girls
  • Children and adolescents
  • Minority and marginalized clans
  • Unemployed youth and other at-risk groups

Through these efforts, ISDP contributes to improved well-being, enhanced livelihoods, stronger governance and social protection systems, and meaningful community participation in recovery and development processes.
