Human Rights
ISDP’s Human Rights Department is committed to promoting and protecting the rights and dignity of vulnerable populations across Somalia. The program focuses on raising awareness of human rights, supporting access to justice, and advocating for the protection of marginalized and at-risk groups, including women, children, and persons with disabilities.
ISDP works with communities, local authorities, and partners to strengthen accountability, promote equality, and ensure that individuals are able to claim and exercise their rights. Through community engagement, legal awareness, and capacity-building initiatives, the department contributes to creating a more just and inclusive society.
Objectives
- Promote Human Rights Awareness
ISDP raises awareness on fundamental human rights through community education, advocacy campaigns, and engagement with local stakeholders to empower individuals with knowledge of their rights.
- Enhance Access to Justice
The department supports vulnerable individuals in accessing justice through referrals, legal awareness, and collaboration with relevant service providers and authorities.
- Protect Vulnerable and Marginalized Groups
ISDP works to promote equality and protect the rights of at-risk populations, including women, children, and persons with disabilities, by advocating against discrimination, abuse, and exploitation.
