Livelihoods

ISDP’s Food Security and Livelihoods Department works to reduce food insecurity and strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities across Somalia. The program focuses on supporting households affected by poverty, displacement, and climate-related shocks by improving access to food and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Through community-based interventions, ISDP supports vulnerable households with food assistance, livelihood support, and capacity-building initiatives that enable families to meet their basic needs and improve their economic stability. The department also promotes sustainable income-generating activities to help communities recover from shocks and build long-term resilience.
